Saga Dawa Saga Dawa is a powerful auspicious month in the lunar calendar because the Buddha is said to have experienced the five major events in his life. 1. conceived and Birth-Buddha was conceived by his mother with dreams of white elephant with six tusks entered his mother's womb indicating she had conceived. But he understood the harsh reality of the world after his ride outside the palace which made him to free himself from lust, craving and desires. 3. Once upon a time there was a king with five wives. One day, he got sick and was on death bed. Afraid of being alone in afterlife. He asked his fifth wife which he loved the most. He bought her diamonds, gold and elegant clothing. He asked her, would you die with me? Would you go with me to the afterlife? The fifth wife replied, I can't do that and walk away.
