UGYEN GURU LHAKHANG at Pangbisa. Tertoen Sherab Mebar was from Kham, Tibet who visited our country in 15 century. He at the out set travelled through Jomolhari where he discovered the first treasure and then travelled to Bumthang into and out of  Baylangdra with the prophecy to find a girl named Pema Chuki who would accompany him in discovering the treasures. The ruler of Bumthang had suspicion and demanded on him to prove himself to the people of Bumthang. He had to go into the Meabar tsho(burning lake) and came out with two chests of treasures only to be returned back to the lake to rediscovered by the prophesied tertoen (Pema Lingpa) who would incarnate after the generation. Since he could not be married to the destined girl, he failed to discover the destined treasures. Next Prophecy was to discover the cave of gold, silver and salt at Pasakha, Chukha and when he was meditating near the area, the landslides occurred and the cave door opened with the great deal of resources. Solidarity conquers adversity

Solidarity Conquers Adversity We know that the brutally nasty corona virus, which broke out in Wuhan, China, has killed many people around the world. The number of infected people skyrockets every day.   This viral epidemic has now been declared as the global pandemic by the WHO. It has been a source of fear, panic and anxiety triggering a global economic meltdown. On a hindsight, it reminds us of the impermanence of life and the futility of our attachment towards wealth and loved ones. The power, wealth, status and character are not differentiated by the deadly virus. Apparently, it is immune to corruption and doesn't leave anyone who comes in contact with it. Understanding its lethality, the world leaders are tirelessly working hard to combat and contain it. Bhutan is blessed with the compassionate and dynamic King and adept Government of the day, who have taken diligent measures to ensure the health and safety of the Bhutanese both at home and abroad. We owe our deepe...

Negativity

Negative people are the dangerous virus that kills your inner peace. We should be able to recognize the people with negativity thoughts and behaviors. Some of the traits of negative people are: 1.Gossips:People who talk about others, those who criticize and agonize behind their back and most likely people who talk behind other people around you, they will probably talk about you when you're gone. Engaging with these people makes you end up gossiping or you have the bad feelings about that person. 2.Arrogant: These people will always be revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. They will be characterized by conceited assertiveness and dogmatism. 3.Dominant: People with this nature will try to control over you no matter where they stand and will create disharmony in your surroundings.  You should never indulge them in your circle. 4.Jealous Hater:People who admires you inside but are jealous.  They will devalue you and call you inadequate for t...

DAY HIKE EMBRACING MARCH MONTH(01.03.20) Hiking up to Wangdi tse and appreciate the fine architecture of the historical monument. As saying"To leave or depart, I wish that pest would take a hike".We have started our hike from Buddhist Shrine Dechen Prodrang exactly at 10:30 am soaking in the  beauty through the bewitching and unspoilt  landscape of Bhutan. It takes 40 minutes by the average walkers to reach the destination. The distance is short with enchanting views and it will leave you breath less for sure. After reaching the lhakhang,  the view of Thimphu Valley is mesmerizing and so it is, as we can see several mountain peaks.  Let me share what I have heard from the caretaker:Wangditse was founded by Kagyu Lama Tenzin Dendup believed to be from Bhutan. The view of three storied from back side and two storied from front has two chapels. The top floor is the chapel for local deity, Mahakala and Mahakali(Yeshi Gembo and Palden Lhamo). When I was little girl, I h...
