 Was it all in my fantasy? I feel sad to see many bhutanese culture and tradition fades away. There were many different culture in different parts of Bhutan. Born in western part of Bhutan, i was more exposed to local  culture which holds a miracle place in my heart. I remember the interesting  moment of introducing the new born infant to the local deity. Earlier, very least visit hospital for child delivery. The popular one was giving birth at home attended by elderly experienced women. Isn't it a wonder? Everything was at the perfectionist.  If I am not wrong many of us are born at home instead of hospital. Wow!!!We are still healthy.  But now, it is not advisable to give birth at home because there are better child and mother care at hospitals.  Let me share how people at my place introduce the newly born infant to the local deity.  After the birth, three days is a period of hiding the new born inside the house.  I don't know if I am right to say that I belong to rich family background but I am proud to call myself farmer's blood. What satisfy me is to have neccessary things at my door step at this detrimental situations. I see people going around looking for vegetables and fruits instead of luxurious goods. Isn't it true?  No matter what position we hold, what we drive, or what is our living standard, everyone of us have to consume necessary commodities for survival. Nothing accompany as at the time of death. Therefore, we must learn to appreciate the value of those people who works hard for everyone's survival. Be proud to be called as Bhutanese and take a pride of calling yourself a inherent of farmers. Someone truly said,  the delicious foods are the food we consume at the time of  hunger. Thank you my family for sending me those important parcels. 

 Today is 9th day of lockdown and I never knew how it passed.  On the other hand, I have not been on my phone as I use to be. I take this lock down as precious moment for every one who gets  a chance to be with your dear ones and those proud citizens serving the nation leaving  families back home. No matter how dreadly the disease is, we must be positive and follow the precautions.   My lock down days have been so precious because I have a chance to be with my family. Honestly, I didn't had enough time to be with my family for more than two decades. I had to attend schools and college leaving my family back at home.  Now, as a working woman prioritizing duties has become more crucial.  The only time I get to spend with my family is during annual rituals and family gatherings. Instant Thought at 3:A.M Lying on my bed with eye open at 3:00 A.M.  What could be the reason that keeps me awake? Insomnia or am I losing myself? honestly, getting chance to be alone in peaceful place has a greater advantage. I am realizing everything. Everything that has no purpose. Everything I am  attached with fades away.  Soon or later. The people who were so closed to my heart left me indicating the impermanence of life. Then, what is permanent? Wealth or physical appearances? None of these are permanent too.  When I was a young, I used to be an egomaniac and  i was being judgemental on everything. Today, 2nd June is the Social Forestry Day. It was on this day in 1974, the people of Bhutan welcomed His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo on the throne. The youngest leader in the world at his time and to shoulder the abundant responsibility for the country and the people. Since 1985, the coronation day is declared as Social Forestry Day and this day has it's important role to play in all times to come. People across the country mark the day by planting trees to highlight the significance of people's involvement in the sustainable management of forest. We should take pride in being a Bhutanese as we are blessed with a benevolent yet dynamic and farsighted leader under whose reign we have experienced an unprecedented peace and prosperity.
